Abell Hotel Kuching

Getting picked up can be awkward since there’s no proper lobby, and even Grab asked me to wait across at the opposite shoplot. The room itself was nicely decorated and quiet, and the hotel is in a strategic spot near the river front. But the small toilet-style window lets in very little natural light, so the room felt a bit like a jail cell. On the third morning, the aircond started leaking water.

Mr. Lazamy was especially kind and helpful, and made me feel welcome by going out of his way to make sure everything was right. I had a wonderful stay, and the staff gave excellent service. Thank you, Lazamy, for being so thoughtful and professional. Highly recommended!

I only spent one night in a deluxe room, so this is based on a short stay. It was basic for a room that isn’t the hotel’s cheapest, but that was fine for one night. The bed was firm, the aircond worked well, and the bathroom had good water pressure. Breakfast had a limited selection, though it was enough for me. The room looked clean, but I spotted a long hair on the bed and some hairs on the shower floor. I didn’t fuss about it. For the price, I thought the hotel was good value.

I was passing by and was disgusted by how the security guard at the basement parking entrance behaved. He spoke badly and even gave a car owner the middle finger as the car moved away. In my opinion, it hadn’t blocked access to or from the basement and was still manageable. The hotel should check its CCTV and get this MMA fighter off the property before something actually happens.
