Meritin Hotel

I had a really enjoyable stay. The location was perfect, the room was a good enough size and pretty clean, and the lobby was great. All the staff were very friendly and especially helpful when I realized I’d left something in my Grab ride and asked the reception staff to keep it for me. I’d definitely come back for a future stay.

The room was spacious and clean, with what you need, including water, a toothbrush, and an ironing board. Great spot on the waterfront, and the cafe downstairs served great local coffee. We did have to wait until around 3:15 pm for the room to be ready after arriving at 2:30 pm, but luckily the cafe was good. The one drawback was that there’s no covered car lobby. It rained the whole time I was in Kuching, and we got wet getting into the car each time because Grab cars can only stop by the roadside.

I got in two morning runs along the waterfront before my work, and plenty of restaurants are close by. The room was clean, quiet, cool from the air conditioning, and had enough hot water. The lobby decor is nice, with water for guests. The lift wait wasn't long, though some staff acted a little oddly, smiling and greeting you when the boss was around, LOL. Good value for a stay.

The room was clean and modern, and the location worked well for my holiday. Everyone was friendly and greeted me whenever I came or went. There were complimentary drinks in the lobby too. A friend had given me bottles of tuak, and I wasn't sure whether I could carry them onto a domestic flight. The receptionist looked into it when I asked, though I found conflicting answers online. At checkout, Gabriel contacted the manager, Yvone, since he thought she might know the liquid limit for domestic flights. I appreciated the help from the team throughout my stay.
