The staff were really helpful, and having a key for the entrance made it easy to come and go. The location is handy, right in the middle of town, with the waterfront, Cat Statue, and plenty of affordable food on Padungan Street within walking distance. The room had its own toilet and a working water heater, but there were no toiletries like toilet tissue, toothpaste, or a toothbrush, and we only got one clothes hanger. The room smelled smoky. Since the walls are just wood boards, we could hear neighbors' footsteps and coughing. The TV didn't work, the room had no special decoration, and the hallway felt kind of creepy. I couldn't find a place to refill drinking water, so I bought some nearby.

It's in a great spot, and they have deals for longer stays. The ground floor had good hot water pressure. My windowless room felt stuffy, though, and the plywood walls let music from nearby pubs through. There was no drinking water, but you can ask the owner for a kettle.

For the price, this is a good budget option for sightseeing, with easy access by Grab or Maxim. The room was a decent size and the front office staff were friendly. You can refill your water bottle for free. The location is right in town: Cat Statue is 100m away, Top spot seafood is in the building behind, 126 laksa is 300m away, the waterfront is 800m away, and Darul Hana Bridge is 900m away. The downsides were dirty bed linen, a broken TV, and no toothbrush or toothpaste. The room walls are only wood board, so noise carries into the aisle.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great. The rooms still smelled bad, though. Things have improved a little since my last visit, when it was a port for immoral “things”.

The price is very affordable, and I won't complain about that, but the room was awful. The bed and floor were dirty, with dust on the bed and some dirty liquid on the blanket. There was no window, so there was no way to get rid of the stink unless you bought perfume. This could be the best hotel if the room were clean and fresh.
