I found the rooms well laid out and practical, with comfortable beds, hot showers and outstanding cleanliness. There’s a water machine, and some of the reception staff were nice and helpful. It’s a solid 24hr budget hotel in a central spot, handy for walking to Viva mall and nearby places to eat and drink, or catching a Grab. The hotel itself is quite quiet. The air conditioning was inconsistent and needed frequent adjustment. Worse, the ventilation was poor. One night an antisocial guest chain-smoked in their room, and I was stuck awake in a room full of cigarette smoke. Cleaning sprays and fumes also got trapped in my room. It only had a tiny window, which didn’t clear the air. Management should blacklist guests who break the non-smoking rules, since they can ruin other people’s stays. There’s a 200RM penalty for smoking inside. If you don’t smoke, I’d suggest asking for an upper floor. Just be ready for lots of stairs, even to the next level, so it’s better if you don’t have much baggage. It’s fine for a short stay if smells don’t bother you.
