ZEN Rooms Noisy Room

The price was pretty good, but you can hear everything outside the rooms, just as the name suggests. Worse, the owner got my check-in and check-out times wrong even after I confirmed them twice, and I had nowhere to stay the first night. He asked me to call when I arrived, but didn’t answer until the next morning.

The rooms were clean, and there was free drinking water and hot water. Mine had no window or ventilation, though, and there’s a bar directly underneath with live music every day. I happened to be there during a week when the bar was closed for reasons I don’t know, so I got lucky.

For somewhere to sleep, it does the job. There are only five rooms, and it’s not especially comfortable, but you get more privacy than in a shared hostel. Room number five is the smallest, so avoid that one.

Very disappointing service. There’s no counter, just a phone number to call the owner. I called nearly 15 times without getting a response, and when I tried again, the owner ignored my call.
