Grand Lexis Port Dickson

The private pool and spacious room were the highlight of our stay at Grand Lexis Port Dickson. It felt private and peaceful, and the resort had a calm, exclusive atmosphere that was great for unwinding. Mr. Ady was especially warm, friendly, and attentive, and gave us helpful information. The hospitality stood out across the team, including the security guard, bell boy, and buggy drivers. We enjoyed it so much that leaving was hard. Highly recommended for a short break from the busy city.

Having a private pool was a big plus, and breakfast included good local food. The resort was close enough to town for activities, while still being near the coast. The rooms are old, but well maintained, and service was great.

The buggy staff were welcoming and helpful, and took care of our luggage. I appreciate that the pool was cleaned promptly after I reported black particles in it. But those were among the few positives in a disappointing stay at Grand Lexis Port Dickson. I’d requested a sea view about a week ahead, then was told on arrival that none were available. I understand that can happen, but on a three-day stay costing over RM2000, the room also had a faulty toilet flush, several dead plug points, and lizards inside, which made us uncomfortable. Those other problems weren’t fixed. After I told reception I couldn’t keep reporting problems, they kindly arranged a room change. At checkout, I found deep scratches on my car, which I’d parked right in front of the hotel. Security personnel had been walking around, so it was very frustrating that this still happened. Security said they’d investigate using CCTV and contact me within a week, but more than a week has passed with no update. One staff member told me I’d parked “at my own risk,” which felt lacking in empathy and professionalism. I understand hotel policies, but guests trust the hotel environment and security while staying there. I’d stayed with Lexis before and had a great experience, which is why I chose Grand Lexis and paid more. This stay didn’t meet expectations. The room condition, maintenance problems, and lack of follow-up about the damage to my car didn’t justify the price. I wouldn’t return.

The overall service was great, and the buggy service was excellent. We booked two nights with breakfast for the family, but some of the day two room makeup was disappointing. There were four of us, and after day one the usual four bottled drinks weren’t topped up. We got only two on the second day. Only two new toothbrush sets were provided as well, and my kid’s bedroom slippers, which he’d dirtied with Milo, weren’t replaced. At breakfast I asked the omelette staff to make one with only ham and cheese because my kids don’t eat the other ingredients. They refused and said they couldn’t do it. Faced this time.
