The night drive was a highlight for me, especially seeing all those stars. I also enjoyed the canopy walk, and the place has a range of activities. Just be prepared to deal with leeches if you're hiking. Everyone was so friendly, from Estiva, who welcomed us and explained the accommodation setup (I hope I got the name right), to the 2 Debs, Didie, our guide Sherwood, Chong, who was an amazing and knowledgeable guide, and manager Freddie. Thanks to all of you for making the stay so good, and for upgrading our room. I'd definitely like to come back and spend more time with mother nature. It was the best hospitality I've ever experienced at a superb place close to nature.

We saw an orangutan, flying squirrels, civets on the night drive, and all kinds of birds during our stay. On the way to the lodge we even spotted pygmy elephants, which was incredible given how hard they are to find in the wild. Before reaching the lodge, we also tried their newly introduced Blue Hole snorkeling experience. It was an unexpected, fantastic addition to a rainforest trip, and I'd highly recommend adding it if you visit. Our guide Donny was brilliant and taught me so much about the rainforest and local wildlife. The other guides and staff were friendly and knowledgeable too, and the service was great from the warm welcome through to the chefs learning guests' names. The lodge is beautiful and sits naturally in the rainforest. This was one of my most memorable wildlife trips, and I'd happily return. Everything, from the planning to the service, was spectacular.

We had a hard time saying goodbye after our 3D2N at Borneo Rainforest Lodge. The Mandara Spa, river rafting, and sustainable activities were lovely additions, and the jungle walks, canopy walk, and night safaris were breathtaking. Guide Nick and Guide Cassey made those outings even better with their knowledge and encouragement. Our Premium Deluxe Chalet was roomy, beautifully designed, and naturally cool. From the balcony, we could look out over the river and jungle, and spot wildlife. Chef Rozy and the team made outstanding food. The team's warmth made a big impression on us. Auther, Christina, and Christa helped with the initial planning, then Alvin and Anita welcomed us. Captain Embrose drove us safely, and Jude, Elizabeth, Sharina, Eric, and everyone else at the lodge cared for us so sincerely. It all felt deeply human. In the middle of Borneo's ancient rainforest, the lodge offers understated luxury that sits in harmony with nature. It was more than a stay, and the feeling stayed with us after the journey home.

We expected more from our 3D/2N at the Borneo RF Lodge this February. The staff, meals, and main lodge were good, but the jungle wildlife experience we expected just didn't happen. We enjoyed the nature and canopy walks, but saw literally no animals. The night safaris came up empty too, driving back and forth on the single access road. There were lots of birds, but that was all. So disappointing. Our Jungle Chalet was a letdown as well and looked nothing like the photos. It was old, run down, and grungy. The so-called balcony had one old chair and faced the back of newer units and the shared raised boardwalk. We were totally disappointed and wouldn't recommend it. There are plenty of better jungle safari options.

Seeing an orangutan swing through the wild rainforest right in front of us is something we'll always remember. A big thank you to our guide, Hariz, who knew his stuff and was incredibly patient. He spotted everything from tiny frogs and civets to orangutans and gibbons, and answered all our questions about the country, culture, wildlife, and ecosystem, even the simple ones. The chalet was lovely, with a private balcony over the jungle canopy. Waking up in the pristine rainforest was a dream, and with only about 50 guests during our stay, everything felt peaceful and intimate. The chef and kitchen team deserve a 5-star shout-out too. Every meal was a poem, and they handled all our preferences and dietary needs, including vegetarian food and allergies, with ease. Our 3-day, 2-night stay at Borneo Rainforest Lodge felt magical. The organization and service were top-tier, and it was an immersive, high-quality nature experience. This was the ultimate nature retreat, so perfect I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. If you get the chance to visit, take it!
