I spent a whole month here and had a wonderful stay. It’s a simple, minimalist guesthouse, so it suits people who are happy to look after themselves and don’t need much fuss. The owner, who you can call “Teacher,” is a very gentle school teacher and great company. He provides bottled water, coffee, and tea mix. The beach is just across the road, and there are food stalls and restaurants a short walk away. The Thai restaurant next door is lovely and draws both locals and travelers. Nearby food is such good value that cooking for yourself feels more like a novelty, though you can do it, and there are laundry facilities too. Teacher also has scooters for rent, and this is the best place on this side of the island to rent one. He takes meticulous care of them and keeps them clean. Thanks for hosting me.

I had a nice stay, thanks to the owner, who was very friendly and helpful. My room came with a bathroom, hairdryer, fridge, table, and chairs. There’s also a large kitchen, washing machine, and iron at the guesthouse, plus scooters for rent. A great place to stay.

Good value for the price, with a helpful owner and clean rooms. The internet is fast, and the beach is only about a two-minute walk away. This side of the island is very quiet, so the beach is nearly empty, which I liked. You can rent a motorbike or bicycle, useful for getting to the closest ATM or market. Some restaurants are within walking distance. Grab is available, though getting a ride can be hit or miss depending on the time of day.

Muhammed was a delight to deal with and went out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The guesthouse itself is simple and basic, but functional, and very conveniently located next to Scarborough restaurant and Tanjung Rhu beach. Excellent little place, highly recommended! :)

A quiet hideaway near Tanjung Rhu, away from the busy town. The room is affordable, clean, and well equipped with an iron, water heater, boiler, fridge, and hair dryer. The owner is super helpful and friendly.
