Amzar Motel Cenang

Amzar Motel made our Langkawi trip more enjoyable, and it’s an easy recommendation if you want one of the island’s best locations on a budget. Cenang beach is a two-minute walk away, with shops and restaurants all around, and the area gets especially lively at night. Our room was clean, had basic amenities and a balcony with a really useful rack for drying wet clothes. The wifi was problematic, but mobile data meant it wasn’t much of an issue.

Amzar met my simple needs at an affordable rate for somewhere this close to the beach: a short walk to Cenang beach, comfy bed, hot shower, working toilet, fridge, cool enough AC, balcony, and little to no mosquitoes. It was quiet too. A fun surprise was seeing langurs pass through the trees facing the balcony in the mornings. They also have hot and cold drinking water, which most hotels don’t. Definitely staying here again! Wifi does come and go, as other reviews mention, but I had mobile data so it wasn’t a big deal.

I really liked the room, it was nicer than I expected, and after two nights I wished I could’ve stayed longer. The location is great, right next to pantai chenang, with a lively night scene nearby. Don’t expect a sea view, but if you arrive by car, free parking is convenient. I love this place!!
