Berjaya Langkawi Resort

We came to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and babymoon, and what started as a one-night booking at Berjaya turned into all five days and four nights of our Langkawi holiday. After just half a day here, we canceled our other resort reservation because the staff were so warm and sincere. Nurashida got us checked in before 3pm, and room service left thoughtful messages and a gift. Mr Kalaiselvan made sure we got a delicious pizza. I'm glad to say how much I appreciate them while we're still here. There’s loads to do around this legendary resort. Our room is very clean, and the bathroom, toilet, and amenities feel up to date. We’ve been spending the whole day at the pool and don’t want to leave. Breakfast has been delicious with lots of choices. There’s also a library, sports bar, convenience store for everyday needs, and plenty of restaurants. My wife may have more to say after checkout, but we’re already grateful for the hospitality. Thanks for being the Gem of the Island, Berjaya. We’ll be back next quarter!

The chalet was pleasant, and the resort’s food options were varied and reasonably priced, so we didn’t need to take a Grab off the property. The location is handy, right next to the skybridge, and the beach is great. There’s lots of wildlife around, and I recommend the wildlife tour. The one letdown was the beach bar one night. The staff turned the music up to a ridiculous level for two drunk Australian women. We asked them to lower it, but they wouldn’t. That kind of club volume doesn’t fit the bar. A calmer atmosphere where people can talk would bring in couples for after-dinner drinks. We were put off and left without buying anything, and I’m sure other couples did too. They’re leaving money on the table by making it so loud.

The staff were kind and helpful at every turn, and the service really stood out. We had plenty of places to eat, but our favorite was the Thai restaurant, with amazing food and lovely views. Our room sat above the sea, which is tidal. Sometimes we could see the rocks below, and at other times the water was lapping underneath. Hornbills and monkeys were all through the resort trees. A gorgeous hotel and a fantastic stay.

This was our second visit to Berjaya, and we enjoyed it even more than the first. The staff were welcoming and responsive, and clearly work hard to give guests a good stay. Our room was comfortable and well serviced, and the food was delicious and well priced. I love the location because it never feels too crowded, apart from the pool. More sunbeds there would help avoid the early morning scramble. We’ll be back!
