The room is the best part here: fairly new, comfortable, and with the shower separate from the toilet, which I don’t often see in Malaysia. There’s also a bidet, a hair dryer, a refrigerator, and stable, pretty fast internet. Reception stays open 24 hours, the staff speak decent English, and there’s free motorcycle parking right out front. I think car parking is around three ringgits a day. For this price range, the place feels very clean. It isn’t as cheap as Thailand, and the lobby and hallways aren’t especially nice, but the building looks quite new from outside.

The price is very good, and breakfast is good too. They have computers for playing games. Just be aware that some rooms are a long way from the breakfast area.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. It’s conveniently close to the jetty for catching a boat. The air conditioning was the one thing that didn’t work quite right.

The room is roomy, and they use filtered water rather than supplying bottles to cut down on plastic, so bring your own bottle. If you want the room cleaned, remember to hang up the sign.

It’s a peaceful, comfortable place in a central and convenient spot. Our room was huge, though the view was only okay. There’s a coffee machine available instead of the usual coffee and tea sachets in the room.
