Halcyon Days @ Langkawi

We came as a group of four for the LIHM event and had rooms 1 and 2 beside each other, with an internal connecting door. One had a queen bed and the other had two single beds. There were lots of things we liked: the location was handy for the airport, laundry, a breakfast warung, and the famous Cili Kampung restaurant. The view was lovely too, and guests can sit and eat outside at the pangkin while looking out at the view and cows. The staff were very helpful. The boss was reachable on WhatsApp, and there was also a staff member on site who was willing to help. We mentioned we wanted to leave at 5:30 in the morning, and he had no problem opening the gate, which is locked from midnight until 7 am. I also asked for febreeze because one pillow smelled unpleasant, and he went out to buy some for us. Excellent service. The rooms were clean overall, though we did find one cockroach, which may have come in from outside. The bathroom was spacious enough and had a heater. There was also a pantry with a Coway for hot water and coffee, plus a large refrigerator. Breakfast was included, but we didn't think much of it. There were a few options such as nasi lemak and nasi ayam kunyit, but the taste was average or below. They bought the food outside rather than cooking it, and each guest's breakfast may cost around RM2-3. At least breakfast was available, and it was optional, but if you want a better morning meal, I'd look for a nearby warung. There's little privacy if you have strangers in the room next door because there's no soundproofing, and we could hear almost everything. It would suit families or friends booking the adjoining rooms.

We spent the evenings chatting in the fresh air coming from the neighboring fields. It was peaceful, and you could hear and see cows, with a mountain smell that felt great. Breakfast was included, and they had a motorcycle available to rent. A simple but comfortable place in Langkawi for anyone wanting a quiet stay.

The quiet location worked perfectly for me, close to places like Cenang street but away from the noise. I felt the peaceful atmosphere as soon as I arrived, and settled in like I was at home. The owners and staff were so kind and took great care of us, with exceptionally good service. I got a really good rest here. Breakfast every day was amazing. I'd suggest getting a scooter, and the lovely owners and staff can help arrange one. I'd love to return someday. It's definitely one of the best places I've stayed during my travels so far!

The location let us enjoy the beach without staying among the crowds and noise, and we had a wonderful time in this charming house. The owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We spent hours chatting with them and never got bored. Their great suggestions for restaurants, swimming spots, and places to relax made the trip even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this property.
