The room was large, clean at check-in, and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were friendly and gave good recommendations, with a convenience store and pharmacy next door. It could be quiet at night, but the halls carry sound, so late arrivals can wake you with their conversations. The pillows were rock hard and we didn’t sleep comfortably. During our three days, nobody cleaned the room, changed towels, took the garbage, or replenished the water. Since we were out exploring all day, it was difficult to catch reception after we noticed. The walk to Kuah centre is 3 km, which is rough in the heat. I try to look for the good in a place, but I can’t recommend this one in good faith. There’s better value elsewhere.

This is a new shoplot hotel with a comfortable stay and a good price. There’s a free water dispenser, and the lady manager was good. The front desk could use staff who communicate well in Malay or English. I’d recommend it.

I admit I made a mistake by cancelling only a few days before my booking. Still, the hotel wouldn’t refund even part of what I’d already paid. It would have been nice to get something back. Scrooge!
