For the nightly price, the rooms were clean and had what we needed: a decent shower, TV, wardrobe and comfortable bed. We stayed eight nights in room 105. The weather wasn't kind to us, but we couldn't fault the place. There's a small pool with a fairly tidy view, a little gym, and free filtered water. Housekeeping did a good job whenever we wanted the room cleaned. Check-in was simple and didn't require a deposit. There's also a washing machine guests can use, which is handy for backpackers. Breakfast and other food can be pre-ordered, though we didn't try them, so I can't comment on the quality. It's fairly central, but you'll need a moped or other transport to get around. Restaurants aren't really walkable, while local food and supermarkets are under five minutes away and Cenang beach is about 15 minutes away. You can hear traffic from the nearby main road, but the roads on Langkawi aren't very busy, so it wasn't a major issue. The airport is close enough that you may hear a few takeoffs, but they aren't very loud and there aren't many. For the price, facilities and location, it's hard to beat.

A lovely, cheap place with a pool and a free water station. The room had both a fan and air conditioning, was clean enough, and the bed and pillow were comfortable enough too. The guy was lovely, and it was good value.

The room was fine, nothing special but nothing to complain about. The location works pretty well if you've got your own transport, since there's almost nothing around and no public transport. Street noise can be an issue if you're a light sleeper. Soundproofing is basically absent, and I was unlucky enough to have smokers in the rooms next door. They kept slamming doors as they went out to the patio, and the smell of cigarette butts hung around all day. A patio fan would help.

The chalet is basic, with simple amenities, and sits on a hillside looking toward a small patch of jungle. That blocks what could otherwise be a great wide view of the airport, sea, and mountain range. The public lookout with the full view is only about a 100-meter walk away.
