The outdoor setup is lovely, with a pool the kids enjoyed and a well stocked kitchen, washing machine, long drying line and coal BBQ. There are lots of useful things around, even if we barely used them. The place is clean, including the rooms and bedding, and the staff were helpful. Getting around Langkawi is easy with Grab. The newer building seemed to work well, though the rooms are very small. I didn't stay there, but heard no complaints about the toilet or shower. In the main building, the layout and kitchen look good, but several basics failed. Both toilets blocked, one completely, and solid waste floated in it all night. Water leaked from the trap below a basin, and a bathroom seemed to have a hole behind the toilet where huge cockroaches kept getting in. The kitchen extractor has no fly screen. Showering without getting clothes and everything else wet was difficult. The bathroom doors are oddly tiny, and I hit my head on them several times. At least the shower pressure and temperature were good. The beds are small for a couple and the pillows uncomfortable. For us, a shower, bed and toilet matter more than extras, and those basics weren't up to scratch. I'd look elsewhere next time.

The location is convenient and easy to find, with good restaurants around. The owner was very friendly and kind, and deserves credit for a great homestay. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the rooms had new air conditioning and were fully equipped. Essentials like lighting, water pressure and air-con were all good. The bathrooms were spacious and had heaters.

Getting to the airport was easy from here, and the staff were so sweet and made sure we had what we needed. The two-floor loft had everything for a pleasant stay. I liked having a free bottle of water, and the fridge worked fine. The living room was a good spot to relax and watch TV. The bathroom was clean and spacious, and the bed was really comfortable, with four pillows, such a luxury. The accommodation was simply incredible.

The host was quick to help whenever we raised a problem, coming over and staying until it was sorted. When we arrived, he showed us around and pointed out everything in the complimentary fridge, including cereal and milk, boxed water, chocolate and Coway water. My family and I were very happy here, and we'd stay again and recommend it to others. We spent four days and three nights at Rooma Kichi Private Pool, and I'd rate it 10/10. It works well for a big family. The house has three rooms, plus an attic room with its own separate door. There was even a storage room that could fit almost 20 people. The pool is suitable for children, and the yard is spacious. The outdoor kitchen is super complete.
