We had a wonderful stay in Langkawi at the Royal Agate Beach Resort from November 20th through November 26th, 2025. The location worked well for the beach, restaurants and attractions, and travel to other sites away from the hotel was positive and accommodating. People at many of the businesses we visited were accommodating too. The resort had other amenities, but we didn't use them since we were on the move much of the time. The desk team were especially helpful whenever we needed assistance. Nani, Mira, Dave, Mohamud and the others whose names I can't recall were great. I especially remember Nani, who was usually there when we asked for help. The manager, or whoever seemed to be the manager, was very accommodating. I recommend it to visitors looking for a casual, relaxing place with good service and a good location.

The Sea View Deluxe Room was clean and comfortable, with fresh linens. Breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was a lovely start to the day, with beautiful views. The front desk officers were polite and friendly, which made the stay more pleasant. The resort is just a stone's throw from the beach, with great restaurants, 24-hour convenience stores, duty-free shops and laundry services nearby. Highly recommended, and it'll be high on my list for future holidays.

Early check-in went smoothly, and the staff were very polite, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. We had a great stay at Royal Agate Beach Resort, with wonderful service and a perfect location, and would recommend it. Our room was spacious, neat and clean, with a comfortable bed. The washroom was clean and well maintained, and all the basic requirements were taken care of. Breakfast had just four choices, but they were tasty and freshly prepared. Pantai Cenang Beach was a short walk away, with shops and restaurants nearby.

It was clean and well maintained inside, with nothing to complain about. For a reasonable price, the accommodation was decent quality and convenient for massage shops, stores and restaurants. Being right on Chenang Beach also made getting to the shore easy.

The location is good, with Chenang beach 100m away and plenty of duty-free shops nearby. The staff are courteous, though not very helpful. There's a small lift and a mini swimming pool in the backyard, but no proper entrance to the hotel. Rooms are spacious, with basic amenities, and just decent. To our surprise, the kitchen has been closed for the last three months, and this wasn't properly mentioned on the various booking sites. Breakfast came packed instead of as a regular buffet. With kids, you can't expect much in an emergency.
