The old mango tree grows right through the house, and we even got to watch monkeys playing in it. That was a magical moment we’ll remember. We loved the whole stay and would return without hesitation. This is a characterful heritage home, full of history and decorated with real care. It felt warm and welcoming straight away, while still being comfortable. The owner was one of the kindest hosts we’ve met, always thoughtful and making sure we had what we needed. She also knows the area really well and gave us lots of helpful tips. We were glad we booked breakfast. It was delicious every time, freshly and lovingly prepared. A charming, authentic place with a big heart. Highly recommended! 🌴🐒♥️

We booked the whole house with friends, which was great for spending time together in the common areas. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were really comfortable. It’s a rustic, charming heritage home close to nature, a nice escape from city life and the tourist areas. The hosts shared plenty of island tips, from food and bars to shops and good views. There’s a rental car available to make getting around easier. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’ll be back soon! - V, J, P, M, T

I stayed in the blue casa beside the main house. It had a handy little kitchen where I could make pots of tea and chill beers. Patty brought lovely pastries in the morning, and there’s a fantastic restaurant about a 5 minute walk away. Bring a torch at night. The nonya curry was superb! It’s an interesting but secluded location, and I think you need a car to see Langkawi properly, though Grab taxis are convenient and cheap. The SkyCab/Walk is close by and fun, as is Telang Harbour, where boats go to and from Ko Lipe, which I highly recommend. There’s a cute beach bay a few minutes away on foot, but you have to climb over rocks to reach it, so I’m not sure it’s family friendly. On the other side is a large tidal bay with amazing wildlife.

We were stranded on Langkawi by a tropical storm and found a last minute place with Patty & Jon. They made us feel so welcome, helped us plan, and put us up. When we had to leave ahead of schedule, they went out of their way to help again. The house is old and stylish, near the water and fishing area, with a small pool out back for a refreshing dip. A lovely homestay!

The setting feels authentic and is away from the usual tourist hotels in the inner city, which we really appreciated. There are seafood restaurants nearby, along with a small supermarket, and the pier in front of the house is a lovely place to watch the sunset. Even local residents ride over on scooters to see it. Patty and Jon were sweet, gentle hosts. They helped us arrange a rental car and tour, and were always happy to help. Their English is perfect. They made a fresh, very good breakfast each morning, while also giving us space when we wanted time alone. We stayed in the large red room upstairs. It had a couch, bed, AC, fan, and beanbag. There’s an open air shower in the aisle, but each room has its own. The shared open space shown in the photos includes three places to relax and fridges guests can use. The cute pool is good for a short swim, and sometimes you can even see monkeys there. The renovated house is a traditional old spot, a „teriang house“, with lots of wood and charming details. If you want to see more of Langkawi beyond the usual hotel experience, this is the place. Thanks again, and I wish you all the best. I’d give you 6 stars. 🙏🏼
