Singgahsana Villa

The room was okay, but its bathroom was really dirty, and the rooms are very dark. We were there alone, with no reception, so it felt like a ghost town. There’s a lovely large garden, but no pool.

All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and pleasant. The owner was responsible and helpful too, assisting us without making us feel blamed, which is rare. This villa is wonderful! 🏝️

The landscaped garden, greenery, and open areas make this villa a nice spot to relax. It has a traditional look, with a tiled roof and roomy balconies, and warm lighting outside gives the place a calm feel. A charming two-story villa, well suited to a relaxing getaway.

We booked two nights but packed up and left after one. We’d hoped to escape the noise, but the place is beside a road linking two major highways, and traffic carried on loudly all night. Sounds from the hotel didn’t help: the cooling roof cracked, and there were other strange mechanical noises that kept us awake. The grounds are large and full of trees and bushes, but they were drying out and dying. Staff just browsed on their phones, so we took the garden hoses and watered everything ourselves for over three hours. Our upstairs room was spacious but dusty, and nobody helped carry our luggage. The bathroom layout was awkward too: the shower cubicle is in the middle, so you have to enter it and close the door before you can get to the toilet. There is a self-service kitchen with utensils, plus tables under bamboo sprouts.
