Azlina was very accommodating when I ran into some problems with my arrangements. She also has lots of well-cared-for cats, which was a bonus for me as a cat lover. You’ll generally need transport to stay here, though a few places to eat are within walking distance. The traditional Malay wooden houses are tastefully decorated and sit beside a bendang, which is where the name comes from. It’s fairly close to Pantai Cenang without the crowds. The place is tranquil, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. There’s hot water with good pressure, and a small fridge too. Wonderful!

What stood out was how kind and caring the owner is. She was there for the guests and made us feel welcome and looked after. The bungalows were comfortable, peaceful and well cared for, and the stay was great value for the price. A great place to stay in Langkawi.

Leena is a friendly, helpful host, and the pool is amazing. The homestay itself is charming and peaceful, with a spacious, comfortable, clean room. It’s well placed for exploring the island and offers great value. I’d happily recommend it.

The owner made our holiday feel effortless. She helped whenever we needed something, showed us how to pay for ferry tickets, and arranged an early check-in and late check-out. Since our ferry wasn’t until 8 PM, she kept our luggage for the day. When we got back sandy from the beach, she even brought fresh towels and invited us to shower and pray before setting off. We were so grateful for her kindness. The bungalows are beautiful traditional wooden buildings, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. There’s a clean pool with loungers in the middle of the property, a kitchenette in the unit and a Surau on-site. A resident cat greeted us at the entrance, which made the place feel like home. Cenang Beach is about five minutes away by car. For us, a clean place and kind, easy-going people are what matter most on holiday, and we found both here.

Staying in the traditional Malay wooden house felt nostalgic, like a step into the past. It was clean and peaceful, with air-conditioning and modern facilities too.
