This was the first hostel I’d ever stayed in. Hotels were unavailable because demand was high for the Lima 2019 show in Langkawi. I booked four nights but arrived on the third day because of personal problems, and I’m grateful the management kept my booking. It’s a little away from the main attraction, about a 10-minute walk to Cenang Beach. There’s one large room split into male and female sections, with three bunk beds in each section, so six people per side. Separate rooms are also available. On arrival they give you a towel and a key to a safety box, which is big enough for all your luggage. Each section has its own washroom, but there’s no soap or shower gel. There’s a small cafe with drinks and a limited lunch menu, plus bikes and cycles for rent. A direct booking at the hostel costs 20 RM per night. The stay was good overall because there were few people and no outside noise.

The lights were being repaired when we checked in, but the service was fine otherwise. We also had a parking space for all three days.

Cheap but nice, and the owner was really polite and made us feel comfortable.

A nice hotel, and the cheapest in Langkawi.
