The hotel was decent enough, but I was shocked and disappointed to find a RM50 charge to replace a lost room access card. That feels very high. Tourists can easily misplace a card while busy with island hopping, cable cars, DUTY FREE shopping or nearby beach activities, which is what people come to Langkawi to enjoy. I’ve stayed at 4- or 5-star hotels like Marriott and MO where card replacement was free. The Wi-Fi was also super slow.

The sheets had disgusting fluid-like marks and stains, which was really unpleasant. I stayed for three days, and lizards were in the room with me the whole time. There was lizard shit on the floor too. The tap water was rusty, so I had to buy bottled water to brush my teeth. The TV rack looked like it was hanging on hope and prayers and could fall at any moment. Worst hotel!

The room was frustrating to use: Wi-Fi was weak, the internet was extremely slow, and the air conditioner took ages to cool things down. What bothered me most was the staff refusing an extra blanket for my mom when she was feeling sick and cold. That felt really insensitive. Service and upkeep fell well short of what I expected at Salsa Resort Langkawi by Casa Loma. I wouldn't recommend staying here for comfort.

The location is awkward if you're not driving, and asking reception for an extra pillow went nowhere. They said none were available, even when we offered to pay. Booking through Axxdx cost RM30 more than walking in, too. Glad we only stayed one night. I regret booking this so-called hotel.

It's a recently renovated, clean place with a comfortable bed, hot water, and room Wi-Fi. Nights were quiet. You're a little out of the way, but having a vehicle makes that easy, and the beach is five minutes away. I'd recommend it.
