The Bayou Hotel Langkawi

The pool is on the ground floor beside the bar, and I saw guests sunbathing there who seemed to be enjoying themselves. The hotel sits right by Chenang’s busiest street, with free parking out front. Staff were very welcoming and always ready to help. Rooms are cozy, and there’s a free drink coupon. Even the public bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. Each floor has a handy machine with essentials for sale. Well recommended.

Breakfast changes each day, so you don’t get the same meal all week. It’s family-friendly and welcomes children, but still stays fairly quiet for adults. Rooms and bathrooms are a good size, neither cramped nor too spacious, and everything is spotless with daily cleaning. Staff are friendly and make you feel at home. The pool is shallow, but nice for a quick dip after exploring. Scooters are available to rent for about 40/50RM a day, and you can book activities here too, which is convenient and something I recommend. There’s a game area and a small, pleasant gym for running or cycling. On Saturdays they have movie night, and you can vote for a film to watch outside under the stars or indoors.

Breakfasts were a real treat, warm and tasty, with a nice view in the morning. It’s a beautiful place and a good base for exploring the island. The staff are lovely. The young woman made my omelette, which was one of the little things that made my days better. Special thanks to Mokhtar, whose presence made our stay priceless ❤️

Everything feels relaxed here, and the food and drinks are delicious. The staff are loving with children and very family-friendly. Weekly live music and changing poolside entertainment are a great touch. This is probably the best hotel we’ve stayed at, thanks to the genuine, friendly staff who make it feel like home. We love the place and will come back.
