The Coconut Langkawi Resort

The room was nice and the area cool, just a three-minute walk from the main Cenang strip. The air-conditioning worked really well. The owner always had a big smile when we saw him, and check-in and checkout were very simple.

Really good value for the price! The room was clean and had air-conditioning, hot water, and a mini refrigerator. The host was humble, let me use his bicycle, and took me to local breakfast spots. I highly recommend this guesthouse!

The queen room was roomy enough for a couple to spread out, with a sofa, and the host was lovely. We ended up extending our stay because we liked it so much. It has a village feel, lots of greenery and chickens wandering around, plus a little central spot to relax. The beach is a good walk away, which also keeps things quiet. We looked at other budget places on a tour and thought this was the best value. There’s coffee and a water machine for tea and drinking water. The plants do bring quite a few mosquitoes, though. Like many places during the pandemic, it seemed to need a bit of refurbishing. Our bed was broken, the main sitting area could use a stronger or extra fan, and a bathroom floor mat would help. It’s a budget place, so don’t expect the Hilton, but we loved it for the price.

The garden is lovely, and the room was clean. It’s close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. A very nice place to stay.
