The rooms were always tidy, and the location and service were great. Hiew was a fantastic host, very helpful with activity recommendations. Breakfast was great too. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

There’s plenty of room, an exotic feel and a private pool at this villa. The host can suggest good places to visit and nearby attractions, and can even arrange a car to be delivered for just a few euros a day. If it’s available, réserve it!!!

The Sanctuary is a lovely spot in Langkawi. It’s peaceful and quiet but still close enough to the beach areas. The rooms are clean and well equipped, and the owner gives helpful advice about what to do and where to go. We also started each day with an excellent breakfast. We’ll be back........

It was hard to leave The Sanctuary. Hiew and his wife were generous, wonderful hosts, and the breakfasts were a highlight, with different Malaysian delicacies each morning. Our room was beautifully fitted out and exceptionally clean, and having our own private pool to relax by felt like such a luxury. The location was just right. We felt tucked away in our own little cocoon, while still being close to everything Langkawi offers. Grab rides were short and very inexpensive, and there was a fabulous warung a 10 minute walk away. We can’t recommend The Sanctuary enough and will definitely return. Thank you to our hosts.
