Aloha Hotel

There were lots of places to eat, laundromats, and convenience stores nearby, and the hotel sits between Teluk Batik beach and Sitiawan town, close to the Lumut jetty for Pangkor. I was there for two nights, July 13 to 15. The owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and everything was well cleaned. The reception seating area also had a hot and cold water dispenser and a vending machine, which made things convenient.

Food and convenience shops are right across the road, and the ferry terminal and Navy Gate are each about 3km away. That makes the location handy for work or a holiday. The room was spacious and comfortable for the price, with basic amenities, and the air conditioner and shower seemed recently refurbished. Bring your own toiletries, as none are provided. The lighting was poor, and the non-smoking policy seemed weakly enforced, leaving a persistent stale smoke smell in the room. That was my main gripe.

I picked this hotel after calling a few nearby places and finding it was the only one that answered. The staff were very friendly, and my room was large and clean. Zus coffee, family mart, tealive, and Mr. Diy are nearby.

The room was huge, and the bathroom was about 6x9 feet. It also had a speaker system that connected to our phone. The location is between lumut and telok batik, with opah satay right out front and food close by. Definitely worth the stay.
