Lumut Waterfront Apartment

Flat no. 43 in the Apartment made for a frustrating stay for the rent we paid. The TV didn't work, there was no WiFi, and the kitchen wasn't usable because the microwave, fridge and other appliances didn't work. The master bedroom Air cond was leaking. If you don't want your holiday mood spoiled, don't book this flat for a visit to Lumut. Please put correct information online so tourists aren't misled.

The room was nice and the Agoda price affordable, and late check-in was available. There's a swimming pool, which is great for bringing children. But the aircond didn't work well, it only ran as a fan and didn't cool the room.

The room is spacious and has a kitchenette, but parking is inconvenient. Getting the keys and towels at the hotel, then having to return them there at check-out, is a hassle. Staff are located elsewhere at Double Happiness Hotel and are hard to reach, so my request for help with the TV, which had no signal, wasn't dealt with.

I can't give zero stars, so one it is. This was our view from room Villa no47, a two-bedroom villa we rented from Super Kleen. The mattress was filthy, with what looked like urine stains and a dip about 6 inches long by 4 inches wide, deep enough to fall into. It belonged in the rubbish tip, not a holiday rental. There were dead cockroaches on the bathroom floor, the kitchen sink was dirty, and the Venetian blind on the kitchen window was disgusting. I paid a good rate because it was "school holidays". I wrote to the owner, who was sorry, but there was no monetary refund. They were happy to take money on false pretence, but not refund it. In all my travels, I've never had the misfortune of staying somewhere this disgusting. I wouldn't recommend renting through Super Keen. Their hygiene levels are very low.
