We booked two rooms, and while the Agoda photos looked nice, the actual rooms were the complete opposite. There were flies all over the room, and the toilet cover was even worse. It had yellow stains on top, and when I wiped it with wet tissues, they turned yellow too. It was a horrific hotel experience. I wouldn’t accept even a free extended stay, and I’d regret going back. I had no choice but to give one star, though I didn’t want to give any stars at all.

I hadn’t been back in a long time and expected the worst, so I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful everything was. We stayed in the bungalow, villa, and apartment with friends, and all were equally lovely. The rooms were clean and well kept, and seemed newly renovated. The pool has been transformed, and the beach has changed too, with a volleyball court that kept my kids and their friends busy. We only stayed two nights, so there were many other things we didn’t get to try. I also spotted brand-new bicycles and wished we’d had time for them. The service from nama kami Miss alia , Miss Hawa , Miss Yani was professional, friendly, and helpful, from booking through check-out. When my son hurt himself at the volleyball court, staff from the nearby Hotel came quickly with a First Aid Kit, and SGI had one by the pool as well. My friend and family had a comfortable, memorable stay. The one issue was the villa kitchen sink, where water often backed up and took a long time to drain.

The resort manager and staff were really kind when I had an issue with my reservation. I booked through agoda, but agoda had booked with booking.com, and they helped liaise with both. Great PR from the team, and I’d stay again. I’d bring food, though, if I didn’t want to drive out. The nearest gerai/tomyam is 20-15mins away. The refurbished units are good, but they need proper maintenance because the sink was blocked and leaking. Food at the golf club cafe was unexpectedly good, but you need to order before 630pm.

We’re staying here for a week, and the Wi-Fi has been down since Sunday, so that’s three nights without it. The front desk said they don’t know when it will be fixed, which means we may still be without it when we check out Friday. The resort is very remote, with little to do at night, and the facilities are run down even though the rooms seem newly renovated. We definitely won’t stay here again.

Best room I’ve had so far, close to the pool, and the service was good. It’s a bit far from town but that’s okay. Bring food with you before coming, or it’ll take 15-20 minutes to reach the nearest 99 speedmart. Everything else was good 👍
