Roxy Beach Resort

This was my second stay, and I had hoped things would improve. They hadn't, so this will be my last vacation here. The pool setup felt unfair. Guests were split by room type using orange, green, and blue wristbands. We chose an apartment studio, and only later found out our children couldn't use the pool with the slide. They were very disappointed, since that was what they wanted to play on. Everyone staying there should be able to use whichever pool they want. Apartment guests also didn't get towels at their pool, while hotel guests did. It felt discriminatory, as if apartment guests were being treated like poor people. The food needs work as well. Breakfast cost RM35 per person, but the choices were very basic: nasi lemak, mihun, omelette, tomato beans, toast, one kind of fruit, roti canai, curry, coffee from a machine, and orange syrup. I think RM35 should get you more. Pueh Cafe had very few dinner choices too, and the menu was too basic for a resort.

Check-in is now at 3 pm, but our room wasn't ready then. We could only get in at 4 pm. I understand it's holiday season, but management could plan better. Breakfast on 4/6/2026 was terrible. There were no egg or noodle stalls, just fried rice and fried noodles. I also noticed loose, cracked tiles around the pool that need maintenance. There no longer seems to be a rule requiring guests to return their wristbands at checkout.

The delay ruined my day. The receptionist was distracted by a phone call while taking my food order and missed one of my requests, leaving me waiting for hours. When I asked about it, she seemed annoyed. The service was unprofessional and her attitude was poor. There was no apology either. The order was taken by the Manager on duty on 07/06/26 at 19:39pm. I'm also worried about the pool's safety. Several tiles were loose or missing and could cause someone to get hurt. That points to poor maintenance and isn't acceptable for guest safety. Breakfast was a letdown too, with very few options. Most of it was fried rice, porridge, and fried kuey teow, plus processed foods like hot dogs and nuggets.
