The room wasn't clean: there were lots of mosquitoes, and I found a long hair on the bed that clearly wasn't mine. When I arrived, I was told the hotel was full and rooms were assigned on a “first come, first served” basis. I was even told I was “lucky” to get a room, which is confusing when guests book ahead. Staff also said that even with an Agoda booking, you might be told to find another hotel and request a refund. That defeats the point of making a reservation. Poor service and low cleanliness standards. Very disappointing.

The area was pretty good, with most things within walking distance. The woman who checked me in was nice and friendly. My room was fairly spacious but old, and cost around BND$30+ per night, which didn't feel that cheap. It had a school table and chair, a closet without doors, TV, bed, kettle, water heater, and bidet. The water heater worked perfectly, and the air-conditioning, TV, and WiFi all worked well. The room and toilet were generally clean, but I wasn't sure the sheets had been washed because I found hairs on them. All the pillowcases had holes, and the old bedsheet and blanket felt itchy. It was okay, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.

After a long day of travel, this caused a lot of inconvenience and frustration. I had a confirmed Agoda booking, but the night receptionist, the aunty on duty, said there were no rooms and asked me to pay extra if I wanted one. That was outrageous and unacceptable. I've never been treated so rudely or disrespectfully; her tone and attitude, and the way she dismissed my confirmed booking, were unbelievable. It felt like a scam. I want an immediate explanation of what happened and what action will be taken against this staff member. I also expect proper compensation for the trouble and disrespect. I look forward to an urgent response.
