We had iftar here on the 24th with four of my siblings. The staff were friendly and efficient, and there was plenty of free parking. The food selection was generous and tasty, but quite salty, so it could have been perfect with less salt. Only four tables were occupied, which kept things quiet and meant no rush for food. I gave the staff feedback and hope they’ll do something about it.

The hotel waived our charge for that night and sent a fruit platter to the room after the incident. I was stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes. It moved gradually from the 12th to the 14th floor, then suddenly dropped back to the 12th, over and over. There was no intercom or CCTV, and nobody answered despite me pressing the bell countless times. The manager and two maintenance guys eventually got us out, and we jumped out safely between floors 12 and 13. A lot of SOPs were breached during the rescue. The manager said the Otis elevator maintenance person was there, but I couldn’t see them, so I can’t verify that. The spacious room was comfortable, but the building felt run down and poorly maintained. The toilet bowl water was yellowish, like urine. The pool only opens from 7am to 7pm, a letdown if you have kids. Breakfast was ordinary, though I was impressed by the cook’s perfect scrambled eggs and omelette.

I was a bit uneasy leaving my car in the parking area, since there didn’t seem to be a guard or any security. I also found that the toothpaste in the room had expired, which I didn’t expect from a hotel. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff were friendly when I needed help. The location was convenient too. Apart from those two things, I enjoyed the stay and everything else was fine. Hopefully they’ll look into these issues.

The rooms feel a little dated, but they’re clean and decent. Maintenance was quick to sort out a problem with the bidet. Breakfast was just okay, but that croissant was really, really good, fluffy, soft and crispy ❤️. Thumbs up to the chef!

The iftar buffet was reasonably priced and had a good range of food. Some dishes could use a bit of work, especially the salt. They should go easier on it.
