Bob, the Guest Service Agent, made a real difference during our stay. He was polite and helpful, handled our luggage at check-in and check-out, showed us the room, drove us to Dataran Pahlawan, gave us tips about nearby attractions, and arranged our dinner buffet booking at the hotel restaurant. We really appreciated his attentiveness and professionalism. The room was comfortable, and our stay at Casa del Rio Melaka was pleasant in general. There were a couple of letdowns, though. On our way back one evening, a bar staff member stopped us to check whether we were hotel guests. We understand why they might check, but the exchange could have felt more welcoming. During Ramadan, our sahur arrived only at imsak, so we had to rush. We had been asked to choose Menu A, B, or C, but were later told only Menu B was available. The timing was inconvenient and could be coordinated better. We’ve had slightly better stays at other hotels in Melaka on previous visits, though this one was decent and Bob’s service stood out.

Jonker walk is right next door, so the shops and night market are an easy stroll away. The pool is a real plus in Melaka’s heat, since not many hotels in or near Jonker walk have one. Breakfast was great with plenty of variety. I stayed two nights in Dec 2025. The hotel is starting to show its age, but it’s very well maintained. There’s a large compound, which gives the place a relaxed feel and means it doesn’t seem crowded. The car park isn’t big, though it looked like there were enough spaces for guests.

We spent two nights here and were happy the whole time. The balcony view was so calming, and the room was spacious enough for us and our two children, who loved it. Breakfast and the pool could be better, though neither was bad. The location is perfect and the service is excellent, which more than makes up for those small drawbacks. Improve the breakfast and pool facilities and this place would be perfect. A must-stay if you come to Melaka!

The rooftop infinity pool has a lovely river view, though it could use more loungers. The hotel is just three storeys high, which I liked, and our room was very large with a huge bed. It’s a luxurious place right in the middle of the tourist area. The staff were so nice. Thanks especially to Mr. Haffis, Faqul and Niroj for making our stay special.
