I found a pubic hair at the head of the bed, and the room and bathroom were poorly cleaned. We were almost checking out, so I didn’t ask for room service. On top of that, they charged rm5 for an extra pillow and told us to buy a bottle of mineral water from the vending machine when we asked for one at checkout. The staff were rude. If you have the budget, don’t come here.

I didn’t stay. When I asked at reception if I could see a room before booking, the staff gave me no smile or welcome and frostily said no, without explaining why. I was there between 12 and 3pm, when rooms aren’t occupied, so I can only assume the rooms matched the poor reviews I’d read. Avoid.

The bedsheets, toilet and room were clean, and it’s only a five minute walk to Jonker street. Parking is available, though limited, and the shower had good pressure with a rain shower head. The downsides were poor soundproofing, a dusty air conditioner, and a fridge that didn’t work.

Everything is within walking distance, which made it a great base for exploring Melaka. I’ve stayed twice, and both visits were pleasant. The staff are welcoming, and the rooms are well maintained. I’d recommend it for a comfortable, convenient stay.
