Being able to get around easily and then come back to a quieter area worked really well for me. The historic center isn't right outside, but with Grab we could reach the major attractions in minutes for very little. My main reason for choosing the location was to visit Masjid Selat Melaka. There are also some lovely local restaurants to the left of the hotel that feel more authentic and less geared toward tourists. SGI Vacation Club made a good base for exploring Malacca, and I appreciated that the hot water is solar-powered. I enjoyed my stay.

There are lots of good restaurants just a short walk south, and Jonker Street is about a straight 10 minute walk west. My room was clean, with a comfortable mattress and pillows. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. A fantastic hotel, and I'll definitely be back.

Parking is really limited, with space for only 10 cars. They charge an extra 60rm for 3 days if you want the hotel to reserve a spot. I also wasn't happy with the front desk service. The Indian woman at reception spoke to me rudely, almost shouting. The room wasn't very big and the shower area was small. The view from my room was awful, looking out at rubbish. I'd asked for a good view last year, but they didn't reserve one for me. I've attached a photo as proof.

Parking needs work. There aren't many spaces, and it was a tight fit for my full-size SUV. Still, I'd definitely stay here again when I'm in Melaka. The hotel looks like a million bucks despite the affordable rates, the rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff are warm and friendly.

I booked a Superior Queen with a Smart TV for a quick getaway, and they upgraded me to an Executive Deluxe Queen with a Smart TV. The room was very neat and clean. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Malacca.
