Silverscape Residence Sea View Melaka by Stayrene

We stayed 3d2n and booked the Sliverscape Premier Suite through Trip.com. The host was quick to reply and very attentive, and check-in went smoothly. The area felt safe, with shops and restaurants close by. The apartment was spotless, had everything we needed, and matched the description. The friendly host recommended that we visit Level 43. We really enjoyed the stay.

There are rats and roaches, and the property feels like it's falling apart because management puts no effort into maintaining it. Of the five elevators, just two work, so with 44 floors you can wait more than 10 minutes for one. The pool is hardly available during popular hours because it's either under maintenance or restricted. Parking staff were highly offensive and acted more like prison guards. The organisation has one of the worst cultures. Save yourself the time, money, and energy and don't stay here.

The apartment, B-18-04 by Alviv Homestay, was clean, neat, well maintained, and set up with useful things like a microwave, washing machine, and water filter dispenser. Families of 7-8 can stay here affordably for a short trip. The indoor toddler playground is a great feature for children under six, and the retro arcade console was a fun nostalgic touch. The host was responsive and helpful throughout. The building is another story, especially the lifts in Tower B. Only two of five were operating during our stay, and even leaving at 10 a.m. didn't avoid the checkout rush. The host had warned us about the noon crowd and suggested an early departure, but the lifts still couldn't handle the demand. We were on the 18th floor and tried the stairs toward the 5th-floor car park. They were usable only as far as the 13th-floor common area. Above that there was no light at all, complete darkness and zero visibility, with no proper ventilation. That felt unsafe, especially with children, so the stairs weren't a realistic option. We had to rely on the lift. The only workable way was to ride up to the 44th floor and stay in as it came back down. Even going up, the lifts were packed with frustrated residents and guests. I sent my family first because of the crowd, then took the next lift myself. Getting to the car park took about 30-40 minutes. The apartment and host were excellent, but the building's poor maintenance affected the stay a lot. I'd suggest checking out very early, around 9 a.m. I think, or waiting for newer reviews to confirm the lift problems have been fixed.

The place is clean, pleasant, and the staff are friendly. Some rooms have a lovely sea-facing view. Having a washing machine and hair dryer was useful too. Since guests come from different countries, it would be nice if the TV had news channels in more languages.
