Stephen went out of his way to help us, from maps and tips on the sights to advice about eateries, prices, savings, and staying safe. He even drove us to the bus terminal when we left. He was generous with his time, and the accommodation was clean, tidy, and terrific. We’re a couple who have stayed in many places, and Stephen’s hosting was on another level. His place is peaceful, and you feel like a local there. The main tourist area is only about a 10-minute walk away, though it feels much farther because the accommodation is so quiet. We highly recommend 'The One Vacation Home'. You’d be hard pressed to find its equal in Malacca, perhaps even elsewhere in Malaysia.

Steven made us feel very welcome, and I’d happily stay here again when we return to Malacca. He knows the area well, gave us a map, and pointed out nearby attractions, all very close thanks to the excellent location. He also suggested local restaurants and noted which might suit us as vegetarians. The room and shared space were clean, tidy, and comfortable. There’s a washing machine in the kitchen, plus light snacks such as pot noodles, tea, and coffee. We were here for a couple of nights and had a wonderful time. Steven even dropped us at the bus station on departure. Thanks for everything, you’re an absolute star!

Steven was a friendly, enthusiastic host who had his own map and used it to show us around town. He’ll even give you a short ride if you need one. I loved the place, and would stay here if it’s available for your dates.

The rooms were clean, and the kitchen was tidy and had all the essentials, including free 'kari' noodles. Steven was an absolute gem, ready to help with anything. He even had a list of vegetarian restaurants to recommend. Definitely worth a visit if you get the chance to stay in Malacca.
