OYO 706 Cozy Hotel

The hotel is clean, including the toilet, and it does feel cozy, as the name suggests. Just don't expect the extras you'd get at an expensive hotel. There's a TV, but very few channels. To get hot water for a drink, you have to ask at the front office and bring it back yourself. Food options here are only snacks or small bites, so you'll need to go elsewhere for a meal. The staff could be friendlier, or at least smile a bit more.

It has a little mini-resort feel, and I found it private and cozy, just like the name promises. I originally needed a room for the day, but the price was so affordable that I booked the whole night. The room and toilet were clean, with all the basic things you need.

The place is clean and spacious, and the price is great, under RM60. It's also close to shops and food. The beer smell from the beer cafe in the lobby made it uncomfortable for Muslims, though.

The bamboo plants outside the rooms add a resort-like feel, and the hot showers were good. You can smoke right outside your room without leaving the premises. But there's no remote to adjust the AC, and if you leave food or leftovers open, you'll end up sleeping with ants. The rooms aren't soundproof, so keep that in mind, boys and girls, or boys and boys 😅.
