The Oak served a simple buffet with plenty of food to suit everyone. Two staff members especially stood out: Ms. Jalai was helpful with check-in and suggested places to visit within walking distance, while Mr. Petura, a waitstaff member at The Oak, was attentive and helpful. The Pines is conveniently placed for nearby attractions, particularly the River Walk just behind the hotel, which you can reach through a back gate. Our room was clean, roomy, and well kept, with both a shower and a tub in the bathroom. The staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout.
From our 17th-floor room at The Pines Malacca, we had a lovely river view, and you can also see the river from the hotel’s backyard. It’s within walking distance. The room was in good condition after we checked in on a rainy evening, tired from walking around the museums and taking photos. After a hot shower, we visited Sri Poyatta Moorthi Vinagar Temple, built in 1781, then had dinner at Saravanan Restaurant in Little India. We drove to Klebang that night to enjoy the cool air. Early the next morning, we went to Sannasi Malai Anadavar Temple and had breakfast at the same restaurant. The food was simply super tasty. We then continued around Mallacca town, buying souvenirs to remember the trip.
The room was excellent and really spacious, and breakfast was as expected. A rotating menu could add more variety from day to day. The bathroom door creaked and needs attention. The TV and channels need work too. The stay was satisfactory. Tqvm ♥️
The room was great for a family, with plenty of space, twin beds, a pantry, dining table, and a comfortable sofa area. There’s also the option to connect rooms with a joint door. The bathroom wasn’t large, but it worked fine. The Pines Melaka was clean and well kept, and access to the river through a back gate made it easy to walk to the river cruise. The lifts were fast, serving all 25 floors without long waits. The building isn’t luxurious, but it’s good value. I had a pleasant stay for business and leisure.
Several of the power outlets in the room were faulty. One sparked on the first night and caused a blackout, though it was later fixed; some other outlets still didn’t work. The refrigerator also wasn’t cold, even after it was replaced. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was good. It was a nice room, but maintenance needs to improve.
