The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Being right on Jonkers Street is a plus. Sound insulation between rooms isn’t great, though, and I could hear water running next door. On weekends, cars and motorcycles on the street can be loud and annoying, often until 2-3am.

The hotel’s on Jonker Street, and the bed was okay with cold aircond. But the durian shop next door sends an unpleasant smell into the entrance. The bathroom wasn’t good: after flushing, the tank takes a long time to refill, there’s only a rain shower and no handheld one, and slow drainage leaves the whole floor flooded. For this room rate, you can stay somewhere better. My first and last time.

It’s affordable, and the room was tidy and clean with the amenities ready. Getting to Jonker Walk is easy, though you can hear vehicles passing by. Parking is limited and first come, first served, about 200m from the hotel.

My ground-floor room was quiet, with no noise or soundproofing issues. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the bathroom heater and shower worked well. The floor tiles in the shower area are slippery, though, so be careful. I almost slipped. I liked the location too, opposite end of dutch square near the fire station, with everything around jonker within walking distance.
