Colmar Tropicale, Berjaya Hills

We had a comfortable room with both air conditioning and a fan, which helped since the streets were a bit hot. Colmar Tropicale is about an hour’s drive from KL, and we enjoyed our one-night stay. The location was excellent, the staff friendly, and breakfast good. A free shuttle to the Japanese Village and Japanese Garden was very convenient. Highly recommended, and thank you, Colmar Tropicale!

The local dishes at breakfast were delicious, especially the chicken, though the Western selection could use improvement. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite in the Heliconia block, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was old but very clean, comfortable and quiet, with one of the best views on the property. Colmar Tropicale has plenty to do, with several restaurants, a 7-Eleven on site, and activities around the resort. We didn’t try everything this time. Parts of the property feel old, and some upgrades would help, but it’s been well maintained. What stood out most was the staff. Darwisyah and Ammar at the front desk made a special effort to make our stay memorable because they genuinely cared. Staff everywhere were friendly, attentive, and ready to help, without forced smiles or scripted lines. Colmar Tropicale clearly trains its team well. Their customer service deserves another special mention. It was a very good stay, with warm people and a lot of charm. We’ll definitely be back.

Food choices were limited and quite pricey, so we bought frozen food from 7E. You might want to bring your own food if you come here. The staff were friendly and helpful, and when we asked to switch to a mountain view room, it was arranged in under five minutes. The room was clean and quite big. We arrived on Sunday and checked out Monday. The place is very nice, with lots of beautiful spots for photos, and it felt worth every penny.

There aren’t many food choices and meals are expensive. There are no fast food outlets apart from Starbucks and a couple of other restaurants, though there’s a 7-11 on site. Children might enjoy seeing monkeys everywhere, but there are limited games for them. It’s a good place for photoshoots and a quiet break from the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff gave good, helpful service, and the room was clean. Berjaya Central Hotel Reservation staff also handled the booking smoothly and responded right away.
