Hotel 99 - Bandar Botanik Klang

The room felt cramped and didn't have much furniture. There was no wardrobe or even hangers for clothes, and no kettle either. The hotel itself is okay, and the receptionist was very friendly.

I booked two rooms with twin beds for my friends from the UK and Austria and me, checking in on 16 November. At check-in, staff said “twin bed” meant one large bed. I was exhausted and didn't want to argue, so I paid another RM99 for an extra room. I wasn't offered an upgrade to another twin room. They said the only room left was the large-bed room, 209, and I took it. I wasn't saying I couldn't share a room with my friend, I was willing to share a bed, just not the same room. That's why I booked another room when they said no twin beds were available. Please check my Agoda booking. I want the extra room charge refunded, since I only booked it because of the bed mix-up. How can the staff not know the difference between twin beds and one large bed? I hope management looks into it and gives me a satisfactory answer.

I checked into room 9310 after booking online, where the condition said “bathtub/shower.” The receptionist looked at the booking and said the slash meant they had the right not to provide one. It felt like I'd been caught out by the word “or,” since they could apparently choose whether to provide a bathtub. I booked another hotel and left straight away. I was there for only 30 minutes, but the receptionist didn't ask why I was leaving or follow up. Not even a “thank you” or “welcome.” Worst hotel and service.

Be careful with the website wording, especially when you see a slash. To me, it means Hotel 99 can ignore what you requested or ask you to pay extra, which I didn't accept. It felt like I'd been trapped by the word “or.” I won't stay here again. Customer service was busy on a video call, and kept asking for my IC even though she was holding it.
