Hotel Sri Sutra - Bandar Sunway 3

A basic hotel for an overnight stay, clean and neat, with friendly reception staff who explain the room types clearly. The shower has both hot and cold water. A couple of things could be better: more hangers and racks would help since there's no closet, and the shower tiles get quite slippery after use. Keep up the good work!

I booked through Agoda and stayed four days. The room was clean and cosy, though small, and I asked for two single beds but got a queen instead. It was cheap for the night, and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, plus maybe an LRT station nearby. The room details shown during booking included a stove and other amenities, but there wasn’t even a hair dryer. Bring your own soap, shampoo, toothbrush and a bag for dirty clothes. The floor has a Coway-like water dispenser, but its hottest setting is usually only 86°C. There’s an iron, though you have to share it, and a kettle would be useful. Breakfast was listed as included, but it was just bread, jam and 3-in-1 Nescafe. The room barely blocks sound. I could hear the next-door guests talking and their doorbell, and cars outside kept me awake because the windows aren’t soundproof. I felt uneasy travelling alone because the only lock was the automatic one. I asked to move to a room with a chain lock, but none of the rooms had one.

Sunway Pyramid is an easy walk from here, and there are lots of places to eat nearby: fast food, mamak, local, Thai and Chinese food. A cool place to stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room smelled bad. I also found a cockroach and a spider web in there.
