Everything I needed was close by, from the hospital and mall to lots of places to eat, and the area felt green and peaceful. Mornings had a particularly homey feel. I booked Apple 1 House on a whim because it was affordable, but I’m really glad I did. The room was small but fine for two and very clean, with no insects. Traffic from the road could be heard because the room wasn’t fully soundproof, though it didn’t bother me much. All the staff were friendly and informative. I hardly ever write reviews, but I liked staying here enough to make an exception. Thank you, Apple 1 House. I’ll come back whenever I’m in Penang 🩷

For the price, Apple 1 Hotel is a great practical option in Penang. The rooms are compact but spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable, and the essential amenities are there. Free Wi-Fi worked well, and the friendly staff were responsive. Having a 24-hour front desk was convenient. It’s very close to Penang Adventist Hospital and within walking distance of Midlands Park Centre, handy for medical appointments, shopping, or errands. Highly recommended for good value. From Hashem.

Service was okay, though they should provide a toiletries set in each room. Hashem was good with us and always served us with a smile.

The room was good, and they even let us borrow sandals to go outside. We had a few issues at check-in, but Hashem, the receptionist, handled our case quickly and was a good man. There’s no escalator or lift, so you have to take the stairs, though Hashem helped carry our luggage upstairs. Very nice.

I picked this hotel for its short walk to Adventist Hospital, which was really convenient. The room itself was small, and having the toilet separate from the shower felt awkward. I could hear people in the hallway and neighboring rooms through the thin walls, and the noisy air-conditioning also made it hard to rest. The location is great, but the comfort could be better.
