Millennium Suite At Pyramid Tower

The views from the high-rise were stunning, and it was convenient to get around the area from here. The apartments feel luxurious and modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also appreciated having security and front desk service around the clock. Millennium Suites @ Pyramid Tower was comfortable and stylish, and I'd recommend it to anyone staying nearby.

Finding reception was like a maze, until I eventually located the desk under a staircase. Room 2502 was in a sorry state: old and dusty, with dirty sheets and a fridge that smelled like a dead animal. The handle was missing, so the doors couldn't be locked from inside. I wouldn't recommend this place for families, especially anyone with a baby, because of the hygiene. My first and last stay with Millennium Suites.

We stayed one night on 08/12/2022, and I definitely wouldn't return. The place was run down and finding check-in was a struggle. Nobody offered directions. The main Pyramid hotel lobby said this was a third-party hotel that didn't belong to them and told me to call the operator. I'd expected mobile check-in, but my phone battery was flat and international roaming was expensive, so we asked around until we found a tiny manual counter on B1 beside the lift lobby and a security officer. It felt like they were borrowing a bit of common space to do business. No high tech, just one person at the desk. The room was large, but filthy and old, with a few cockroaches roaming around. The balcony aircon compressor was very noisy, and I had to change the leaking shower head myself. Parking wasn't included and cost us RM21+. We entered the car park around 19+ on 08/12/2022 and left around 14+ on 09/12/2022. What a Sunway lagoon experience, one I won't forget.

This suite isn't easy to find, so contact the property before arriving. From the Sunway pyramid hotel entrance, go down the stairs to B1 for the suite lift. Coming from the mall, find G level near the sports shops and Din Tai Fang, Village Roast Duck or the HDL hotpot. The hotel entrance is right there. If you can't spot those restaurants, look for the glass lift by the ice rink, then head to level G. The location works well for a staycation or a visit to Sunway pyramid and Sunway lagoon. It's a big studio with AC, a working microwave and fridge, and plenty of things to enjoy, though it feels a bit old fashioned. The owner should plan to fix or replace some furniture. One pillow was too moist and needed airing, which I did on the first day. Luckily there were two beds, because the single one was more acceptable. The bigger one was too hard and made noise whenever I moved. The bathroom tile silicone needs replacing, and the cracked bathtub worried me. If you're heavy, maybe shower sitting down, though I don't know how sturdy it is.
