YP Boutique Hotel, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya

Terrible. I booked the place just to sleep for a short while and leave my luggage, but when I got there it was completely closed. No one answered the phone, WhatsApp or booking messages, and there was no information that it closes at night. I’d spent my last cash and couldn’t afford a taxi somewhere else.

After 12:00am the door is closed and you can’t check in. The phone number listed on Google Maps doesn’t connect.

The location is good, near a supermarket, Paradigm Mall and some restaurants. But the room was really disgusting. I found a long hair and other things in my bed, and the lobby felt gloomy and scary. Every time I walked in, there was a weird plastic-like smell that made me dizzy. When we wanted to extend for 5 days, the receptionist didn’t give us a receipt, even though we asked for proof of payment. I’m glad we did, because at checkout they asked for a receipt and could have got us into big trouble if we didn’t have one.

The air conditioning wasn’t cold enough, the sheets were stained, and even after we changed rooms twice, the air still felt humid and smelled strange. We had to check the other rooms ourselves before settling in for the night. We booked through the Agoda app for 4 guests, with 2 Queen beds, but arrived to find 1 Queen and 1 single bed. The receptionist, R**k, was rude and unhelpful, saying it was Agoda’s responsibility and nothing could be done. Worst experience. I’m never coming back.
