It's beside the ferry jetty, and the room and toilet are spacious. The setup is very basic, more like a one-night transit stay. The price can be reasonable in low season, but it may feel expensive at peak times. Agoda and Booking.com prices can differ by as much as 50%, so compare them before booking.

The location is okay, but weekend guests should expect nearby karaoke and fireworks at night. Room condition seems to vary. My bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and there was a previous guest's sweat smell on the pillow. The plumbing has since been fixed, as the room used to have a lingering sewage smell.

The room and toilet were clean, and the price was good. The TV didn't work, though, and the air-con was very dusty and barely cooled the room. Even on the lowest temperature setting, it took over an hour. The air-con definitely needs servicing.

Kukup's location is the best thing about it, and the room was an okay size and inexpensive. We got a first-level room that was very noisy. The air conditioner was moldy, ants came into the room, and the sink grout was black with mold. The toilet felt poor quality and shaky. We only booked because we had no other choices.

The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, and the location was nice. The reception guys were helpful too. The toilet bowl leaked, leaving water on the floor that didn't dry. Also, the door handle needs repair. It was hard to close the door and made extra noise, especially a problem at night for the neighbors.
