Lea Guest House & Cafe by OYO Rooms

We had no water and the heater wasn’t working, even after I reported it several times. When we asked for a refund, they refused and blamed it on a “Science problem” 😳. That’s your problem, not ours. We definitely won’t stay here again, and I don’t Halalkan the balance you owe us. Very bad service, wouldn’t recommend 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

The staff were friendly, quick to respond, and the place was clean. They should put up a “Be quiet” sign for noisy customers.

The room looked cute, with warm lighting, and the Wi-Fi was strong. There was also a TV with at least one movie channel, a water filter machine, and paid espresso coffee. Still, we slept badly: the soundproofing was very poor, there was no real window, just a small corridor-style one, the toilet floor was slippery, and the pillows were much too thick. There was no shower soap or coffee and tea maker either, so the room felt pricey for what we got. We booked specifically because the listing said smoking was allowed, but were told on arrival that every room was non-smoking. That wrong information was frustrating. We agreed the night before to a one-hour-later checkout because of the error, but nobody explained it properly. I only found out after checking twice the next day that it would cost RM20 extra. I wish they’d acknowledged the mistake and handled it better. I’d also requested a double bed, but got twin beds twice. By then I was too tired to ask for another room change.

Getting around was easy, with the historical site, museum, and town nearby. Parking at the hotel was free and there was plenty of it. The room, including the toilet, was very clean, and I felt comfortable there. It’s a very cheap, good hotel with friendly staff, and it suited me as a traveller.
