Seafront 62 at Regency Tanjung Tuan, PD

The clean beach with activities was the best part. The rooms and apartment were okay, though not well maintained, and the price wasn’t bad. It might suit someone on a budget, but I don’t think I’ll return. The place looks old and hasn’t been refurbished. One lift was out during the holiday season, and the one that worked wasn’t reliable either. The restaurant food wasn’t good, and our food took two hours to arrive, especially the steak.

We booked through @agoda under The Regency Tanjung Tuan Port Dickson - Seafront 62 for RM322++ a night. It was a unit by Mieqa. I hope this helps future guests avoid the same trap. Photos speak for themselves, so book at your own risk. We chose a two-bedroom unit at Block B, Level 8 expecting a proper hotel stay, but it didn’t feel like a hotel at all. From outside it looked like a decent resort, but inside the condition was shocking: mismatched, stained carpets, visible dirt, moldy walls, and shelves that seemed ready to collapse. The master bedroom was especially uncomfortable, with outdated furniture and creepy-looking wallpaper. Everything felt dusty and neglected, with an eerie vibe. The toilet water pressure was very weak. Overall, it was poorly maintained and not worth staying in or the price. It honestly felt like a complete scam. It’s surprising to see positive reviews. Maybe we were unlucky with this unit, or maybe others don’t mind paying that much for a place like this.

The resort’s location is very good, right in front of a beautiful, clean beach, with eateries and a convenience store a short drive away. But if you book through a platform, avoid Idealhub. We had a nightmare with them. Before the transaction, booking seemed smooth. All the instructions were clear, and check-in was hassle-free. There are only two lifts, though, and just one was working. After we checked in, the floor was very dusty, not sand. We had taken our shoes off at the entrance and hadn’t even been to the beach, but the host claimed it was sand and said they’d cleaned. The kitchen was 6/10, with a dirty microwave and another dusty floor. The master bedroom AC wouldn’t turn on despite trying all the remotes and switches. The host didn’t answer our call. We eventually found the actual power switch hidden beside the AC hose behind the curtain. What a joke. We checked out the very next day after getting bitten by bed bugs. The host again said it wasn’t their issue because nobody had reported it before. You can look at their Booking.com reviews and see how arrogant the host is when guests leave negative feedback.

The beds and comforters seemed poorly cared for, and the washroom wasn't clean either. A letdown. The place needs proper maintenance.
