Lovely Apartment 2 Bedroom - Wharf Residence

I’ve managed to stay here for more than three years because of the unit view. But the lifts break down often, leaving the whole tower with just two working lifts and painfully slow service. Management also comes across as dismissive whenever you need help. One staff member in particular rolls her eyes and makes irritating faces. She seems to hate the job, maybe she should find another one.

The lake side units have a really beautiful view. The place itself looks run down and poorly managed, so for me it’s only okay, three stars. I wish the condo management would do better. It seems like the same management problem crops up at nearly every condo I’ve visited or stayed in. Such a sad Malaysian problem.

I’ve been here a few times before, so finding the condo was no problem when I delivered a cake to a resident on 18.03.25. The guards were friendly and polite. 👍🏽

The lift lobby outside Tower 8 has recently had new tiles put on the floor and walls. Over the years, The Wharf Residence has also seen several gradual upgrades: access to Bizwalk was closed off to tighten security, parking area ceiling lights were replaced with LEDs, and the internal lift lobbies at Towers 8, 18 and 28 got new tiles. CCTV installation in each floor’s corridors is still underway. The walking path between Tower 28 and Tower 18 has been upgraded too, as has the external lift lobby at Tower 8. There’s still room to improve other parts of the development, and hopefully JMB / management office will take residents’ feedback on board and maintain and upgrade the facilities and common areas. No development can be perfect for everyone, since people want different things and it’s hard to meet every need. If you can afford a better living environment, look for a higher end apartment or condo. With a lower budget, The Wharf Residence may be worth considering.
