The check-in and check-out went smoothly. I also appreciated the older lady who replaced the air-conditioning remote when it wasn't working properly. The cleanliness, though, was far below what I expected. There were stains and visible mold in several places, and the sheets felt dusty and unclean, so I wasn't sure they'd been changed. I felt itchy after sleeping in the bed. There was no sink in the bathroom or room, so I had to use the shower to brush my teeth and wash my face, which was inconvenient. I asked for a hair dryer before and after checking in. I arrived late and had to leave early the next morning, and drying my hair before sleep mattered to me. I understand not every room has one, but I think one should at least be available in a common area or for guests who ask. At around RM100, I don't recommend it because the cleanliness was so disappointing. At half the price, it might be more understandable, but as it is, it wasn't worth the money. I don't understand the high reviews. Please think carefully before booking, as it may not be what you expect. I've stayed elsewhere for a similar price and had much better quality and cleanliness.

I really liked the environment, and the staff were friendly. The view was okay, and the room was comfortable with a strong Wi-Fi signal. I couldn't see anything wrong with the place. Just remember to bring an iron if you need to iron clothes, though one is also provided on the ground floor.

The owner is what makes Lakse Inn feel so special. Her motherly kindness made me feel at home straight away and turned the stay into a heartfelt memory. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

They have 12 rooms across two floors, and serve a few kinds of laksa from noon onward, which explains the name Lakse Inn. We left around 9am, so I hope I can return one day to try the laksa. I even dream of running a business like this when I'm older. Makcik, you inspire me, haha! I knew the stay would be fun when the reception was a window at the back of the main house and a makcik responded to my salam. They had reserved connecting rooms 1&2 for us. They were a bit cramped, but I could imagine the next room as our living area, so I was happy. The two best spots for celup udang nearby, pok nong and nizam, were a five-minute drive away. We went to a lousy restaurant across nizam ct instead because we needed rice.

My company picked this homestay while I attended the CeIPTSO course at INSTEP. The owner is very friendly, and there are lots of dinner choices nearby, including Pok Nong (Goreng Tepung). It was quite affordable and comfortable for my five-day stay, with a working table I could use for studying. Recommended for CeIPTSO candidates or anyone taking a course at INSTEP.
