Hotel O Noor Arfa River Chalet

On our last trip to Terengganu, we booked several rooms. They were clean and decent, and having a restaurant just a minute’s walk away made things handy with a baby and kids. My kids loved doing activities at NACC and could use the playground whenever they wanted. It’s been my best accommodation in Terengganu so far.

I booked a chalet through Agoda for RM89 with an extra bed, but at check-in they said the payment didn’t include one. It took them a long time to sort out, and I waited almost half an hour for my room pass. The room was small, the toilet floor was flooded, and the blanket was too thin. Sorry, I can’t recommend it. Hope they improve.

The chalet by the river, with mangroves along part of it, made for a nice overnight stay. Nor Arfa is known for its quality batik fabrics, and the chalets and restaurant add something for people visiting the showroom and batik factory. My clean room was basic, about 8'X10', with a queen bed, HD TV, split-unit AC, and a small bathroom with a hot shower. The restaurant was packed with diners at night. Most of the food was Thai or local, tasty and reasonably priced, and it’s a nice place for dinner with family. Parking is available. Recommended.

A simple little chalet, right in the Noor Arfa compound. Fresh air and birds singing early in the morning made it a lovely start to the day. It’s also so conveniently located.
